Hello, I went to Belle Tire to have my tires rotated, they installed the tires last fall. They informed me I have a worn pitman arm and idler arm that needs replacing (apparently they were ok last fall). I have looked at the other threads and can't find anything specific to my following questions.
It doesnt look like much of a job to do it myself, am I wrong about this? also checking with my local auto parts stores, they claim the Pitman Arm is not availble for the two wheel drive. They do have it for the four wheel drive. Is there a difference between the two and four wheel drive Pitman arm?

Yes there is a difference, and the how to can be found at autozone.com, repair guides, register and you will get to the steering suspension section.

OK, any ideas why they don't make a Pitman Arm avaialble for the 2WD. I have checked several sights and can't find one, they only have them for 4WD. Any ideas?

It is possible it is a GM only part, if Naponline doesn't list it then it must come from GM.
