95 k1500 305 ignition

There is a little play in the ignition when i turn it on I have to turn the key slow or the starter will keep rolling and when I turn off the same I have to do it real slow. I put in a new key cylinder with no change in the prob. Do you think it would be the switch.

the ignition switch , this is what is usually problem ..the lock cylinder is only a key issue..

the switch has springs over time they loose tension on the contacts ..
