alright just bought my crx-si and the original seat cover is torn up. so I went to buy seat covers that "fit" to the type of seat. yet I need to remove the head rest. this is were I get stuck, there is no lever or swith on either of the 2 prong/poles to make the head rest release.

does anyone know where I can get a manual for this or tell me how to temporary remove the head rest.

thank you ahead of time.

They should just pull right out... pull harder :D

There is a little button-thing located on one of the holes that the posts go through, it's supposed to lock the headrest at the notches on the posts, but maybe it's preventing you from removing them?

I have a button on the side of one of the holes that you can push to release the head rest. I know on the accords, you have to push the padding down around the holders, then there will be a small hole in the holder that you can stick a small screwdriver in to make it relased the headrest.

thanks for the replies, I just torn the seat covers and tucked them in, so it looks like it should lol. but I will check to see if there is a release button under the padding, but I have felt around both poles and felt no mechinisms at all.

it should be very easy to see... here's some pics:

Okay this pic shows the mechanism that I'm talking about on the right hand side of the plastic at the top of the seat. It's not really necessary to push it in to get the headrest off, you should just be able to pull them off:

Now, here's a pic of the headrest... as you can see, the posts are straight, and there's nothing that would prevent them from coming out, so I don't understand why you are having trouble with them... just pull harder is my advice...

I hope that helps...
