Yes, it is difficult, because the answer is not as easy as that. And the fact that you're new is EXACTLY why there are 2 threads marked "important" at the top of the forum. One is called "IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE A.F MODELLING FORUM......PLEASE READ THIS FIRST" and "the second AF Car Modeling FAQ - * Look here first! * ver2.0". do you see what I'm trying to say? Let me make myself more clear, do you notice the parts "please read this first" and "look here first"? don't you have enough respect for the forum that is new for you to at least see what it's all about?

YOU dont respect in me and you talking for respect? and you are moderator.
i have respect in YOUR forum because i'm new but i expect respect from all the others.
in FAQ it doesnt write if the primer is a spray.

If you're going to ask a question regarding painting, read the FAQ first, because there is ALOT of very good information up in there :). I'm not having a go at you, but the FAQ is there for a reason :).

In answer to your question, yes, Tamiya do make a primer spray, a white one, and a grey one. The white one is the one you will need for your problem. It doesn't have a produce code that I can see, but it's called Tamiya Surface Primer.

Read the FAQ! :p

You're right. Why should I respect you? Have you earned it? I don't know you enough. You come into the forum without learning the rules of the community that you're new to, and then you're giving me attitude. I didn't ask you to respect me, I couldn't care less, but the forum is another matter. And how do you think I, or other members, feel when we have the same questions aked over and over again for years, literaly.

One other thing is that the search engine doesn't work properly at the moment. I seem to recall a thread about primers that was active yesterday, try to find it, there are some good suggestions there. And primer can be both in a spray can (both Tamiya and a tonne of other manufacturers) and in a jar for use through the airbrush.

ales look hear and you understunt that it isn't so difficult. but i see that because of your position hear you are above of all of us.

i start to ask some questions and you eat me. another members ask think's which are write in FAQ (as you said) and their haven't that conversation. then how do you wait to respect you? who you expect you are?
do you know "respect" what does mean? i guess not. because you are a moderator must "teach" respect in otehrs members.

How conveniently you seem to miss this part of the post you quoted:

Read my last post again. I never said I wanted you to respect me, I don't care, but I want you to respect the forum. And I actually answered your question and gave you suggestions on how to find more information that is not in the FAQ.

And you can try and say whatever you like, you can speak about my moderator status (I got this status for a reason, don't you think?), but you won't change the fact that you have no excuse not to read the threads that are meant for new members. As simple as that.

And I also have the power to tell you that this discussion ends here as it has little to nothing to do with this forum.

You can cry me a river. Or you can show maturity, enjoy the forum, enjoy the stay here, enjoy the friendly atmosphere :D (that you will find here if you stick around), learn a lot of useful stuff and, most importantly, have fun and enjoy the hobby.

Easiest way out is to log off and never come back, but that would be a little counter productive. If you want guidance by all means ask a question, but dont go off on one if you dont get the reply you expected, take the advice your given. I dread to think what you will do if you ever get to post pics of finished models and get feedback you dont agree with :argue: Chill out and lets all start again.:)

I think both sides of the 'conversation' should chill out a bit. :apoke:

No need to leave AF, usually you get friendly replies here, and the atmosphere is good - like Alex already said. :)

Seriously dude read the FAQ. I am also new here and the first place I went was to the FAQ and now I know to to complete an entire model from start to finish  I still ask stupid questions now and then because I havent had much experience with painting and polishing and getting the paint perfect is the hardest part. In the FAQ there is detailed information about how much primer to use, how much paint to use and how to polish a cars body. The best place to look is under Painting model car bodies! Full instructions! (Yes, you have to use primer!). If you had simply just looked here from the start then all your questions would have been answered and you and ales would have avoided this mess. No need to have a sad about it and leave the forum, that doesn't help anyone. Read the FAQ and if you still have questions i'm sure all the guys wont mind helping you with them.

Oh and welcome to AF :D
