Hi,
I have a 97 Town and Country AWD in good running condition. Is there a way to check the front differential for any "pin" problems before I take it cross country?
I have read that you cant get to some of the bolts.

Pull the cover off the differential and see if it moves, have someone tack weld it in place to make sure it does not move and ruin the housing. You will have to remove the left front wheel to access the cover. SOme of the bolts are hard to get to but doable.

I just had our 97' GC 41TE transmission rebuilt. When I asked your question to him, the shop owner told me that its a standard practice now for them to install a $10.00 kit that secures the pin in there.
