I just got done doing a compression check on my LS that has been on the bottle for almost 2yrs now and the results are : 195,192,190,190    I was thinking it was going to be like 160's lol:p but I'll take the 190's and the motor has 135k on the clock. Does anybody know what the readings are supose to be stock in perfect condition?

50shot?

60 and 70 shots, I am going for 100 one time as soon as i get a fuel pump. I think it will be interesting with a 100 shot, I will prob run it a little rich though so it will prob be like 90hp or so, but we will see:D

to my awareness that is pretty much like stock

Yea I have stock internals never been inside the motor everything is like it was the day honda made it. And yes stock specs are 199. I thought my results were good because you know the ppl who always say nitrous will destroy yor motor, well here is proof that if tuned and installed right along with awareness of what you are doing nitrous can be safe on the motor.

Around 14 seconds at the track hehe but soon only 13 lol.
Seriously I don't sray for a long time but I do use it alot.I did use it for a long time maybe 20 seconds or a little more on the hwy racing a S2000.

you are still runnning the stock pistons right? how high of compression could you run and use N20?
I dont really wanna go FI
and Im gonna soon have B20b/B16a CRVTEC
with crower rods
stock B16a valvetrain/cams
AEM cam gears
VAFC
JE 11:1 pistons
310cc injectors(if needed)
and thats basically what I can do to gain power without going FI or getting cams (I dont think 600 bucks is worth it for 5-10HP, yet)
that is too high of compression to spray a small shot like say 35HP huh?
and it would only be used at the track about 3 times a month and if I ever bet money or really need to win a street race it will be there for backup;)

Nitrous likes high compression, however you mush have a good fuel supply with high compression. And I would recomend a wet kit and I think you would be fine running a bigger shot than 35hp as long as it is installed correctly and not abused, also be very on top of your maintance, read your plugs often and DON'T ABUSE THE NITROUS!!!! :D

ok, say I get a B&M high flow fuel pump, AEM adjustable FPR, NGK iridiums, 310cc injectors(440's wont run well off of stock ecu will they? I read that in HCI) would it be safe to run a 50 shot wet kit?
and the only thing IM gonna have to tune the fuel is a VAFC, is that enough to get a kit and not get the piggy back computer thjat comes with kits like venom, etc??
cuz the VAFC is so you can adjust your A/F ratio right? and the sensors stock ecu reads how much air comes in and the VAFC tells the ecu how much fuel to inject, now doesnt N20 release the oxygen when compressed or something like that, so the ecu wouldnt see it as more incoming air and add fuel? cuz i just read that the zex fuel control unit manages fuel by the bottle pressure?
so the VAFC isnt enough huh? if not ill get whatever i need though to make it safe for my engine.

nitrous is techinically FI and if you build a CR/VTEC, DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, take your time building the motor, make sure you try to take as much precautionary measures as you can with that motor, and try not to rev it to 8k too much

Im using a integra ECU and isnt fuel cutoff at 7200. I am just gonna keep it there for good, I think it is high enough, I got torque:D

Ok the Venom and Zex kits are dry kits and that is why they have the fuel control unit. For your application I would have to insist on a wet kit due to high compression engines can create high cylindertemps, which can lead to detonation. With the wet kit all you are doing is suppling extra fuel into the intake along with the nitrous which at so many hundred dgrees releases the extra oxygen to burn the extra fuel. Remember that hp is all about more fuel and oxgen in the cylinder = higher cylinder pressure and increased hp (this is a basic over view). So to answer your question I would have to say yes you will be more than fine with a 50hp shot wet with the forged pistons and some good rings and some quality rods. And don't forget some ARP head bolts and a strong headgasket.

I would have to recomend a wet kit , I think that kit is a dry kit. I myself am against dry kits, my friend had a LS with the zex kit and it destroyed the engine and I helped him install it so I know it was installed correctly and I know he did not abuse it either. And a 50hp shot in my car walked away from his car with a 50shot and we have basically the same mods.

why a wet kit over a dry?

my compression in my 95 gsr motor is 140 135 145 145 is that bad or is it normal for the gsr??

well a GSR has a higher compression ratio than the LS and his are all at 190, Im guessing it is worn out equite a bit.
but NX makes a wet kit right? I went to the page and clicked fpor integra and it put me to a kit for a ford, so I quit trying, got a link or the specific name of the kit for an integra so I can search for it on the page?

Did you hold the pedal to the floor when doing the test? Sounds like that is what happened, if not try it again and if it is really that low then you have major issues and need to rebuild now!
94tegRS
NX makes a wet kit for the integra, kit #20923, and NOS makes a wet direct port kit, kit#NOS-04430, also. Most nitrous kits are interchangable with lots of cars you may only need a new fuel tee or a different size jet.
