Hello,
While i've been sitting my ass flat, my dad's finished another model.
This time it's Trumpeters American LaFrance firetruck.

Excellent result on the La France, I was thinking of getting one of the these kits before seeing your dad's build, I definately want to get one now.

Really nice to see something different, it looks amazing.
How long did it take you/(your dad) to build?
I'm guessing many months?

Cool ALF.
The pump panels could use some 'pop', they just appear a bit flat. A very nice build of a complicated and expensive kit. (cheap and easy compared to a MFH though)

The red in the pictures seems wierd, the photo kind of "eats" all the panel lines. IRL it looks little better. Maybe i'll find some better pics some day :)
What's a MFH?
This kit actually isn't wery detailed, it doesn't even have an engine. So i don't think that ćompleting it would take more time, than with any car kit.

Very nice built!!. Looks pretty good!!!. I think this trompeter kit is one of the best fire engine replica, but it is a little bit expensive...

It cost 848 EEK at a local hobby store, thats by my calculations about 66 USD. Megahobby.com gives the price 75USD. But it went together perfectly and came with coloured decal instructions and some photo etch.

A lot more expensive than a typical car kit, about $100 usd at hobby shops. A friend just paid that for a Starship Enterprise kit. Now i've seen armor and air kits at that price and i think that market bares those prices well. On the other side, most of the car modelers i know cry about the twenty plus dollar domestic car kits.
MFH is Model Factory Hiro, their kits are resin, white metal and pe, they run about $225 usd.
