I currently don't have a "Ghetto Jet"(:D) but I am working on a '96 Firebird that has been lowered 2.5" with 8" scale inch wide ground effects based on the '03 S-10 Extreme.
It's dropped for go, not show.
I also have a '90 S-10 in the box awaiting completion.

thanks for the replys guys.. all these models were built before i found af, and learned how to actually paint.. so you will find alot of orange peel in my models. as you can see i hate decals, so most of my models have all been hand painted (if i can't paint it, you probably wont find it on my models. except on the trucks hood). alot of these were me experimenting with paint, and what kind of cool things that i could pull off. so im glad that you guys liked them. and trust me the best is yet to come. after i finish my opel http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t101472.html im gunna be starting on a 6 wheeled full sized silverrado. so we will see how that turns out.
koffe black - i whouldn't consider it a rc, becuse there is now driving of them. all it is, is a motor, with string hooked up to it, you then take the string and hook it up to the axels.

the truck has been through hell and back, so that's why it looks a little beat up. i don't think that there's has been a time that i played with it that i didint break something on it. when the bed really starts spinning the wheels literally start coming off the table, it's really neat to see.

Not really my style with the wires and what not. I like the way a car looks slammed down but in real life i only like to lower a car to improve the performance, not just slam it to the dirt and ruin the car.

66pontiac.. for the paint on the monte.. it's just a testor's green (don't remember exactly which one), sprayed through the airbrush, with a little bit of gold, and silver andded to give it's base color. when all that was dry, i took a very thin mist of gloss, and sprayed the model.. this is where i really got the color that stands out at you.. while the gloss was still wet i took some real fine glitter (you can get it at any craft store) and sprinkeled it on.. the more you put on the more sparkel. then i added about 4 coats of clear to smooth it all out. believe it or not, if you touch the model it is just as smooth as any other paint job. i did this one back when i was experimenting with different ways of painting. the truck was done the same way.
as for the chevy van. i don't think that i know which one your refering to.

u know u said an awfully dumb thing u lower a ride to improve the performance?hahaah and if u build a lowrider u ruin a car?a lowrider is a classis one of a kind vehicle not a bandwagon ricer that ppl put stickers on them so they think they will have more horsepower!

They look fresh as! I love that delivery! Awesome Impalas too, could you pplease get me a group shot of all your lowriders together? That would be great if you could. That 62 is sweet too, what colour is that?

I respect that it isn't your style 100%, everyone has their own taste. But saying that lowering a car into the dirt and ruining it? Come on, who spends so much time and money making a sweet arse Lowrider for show and then puts it in the dirt? I don't think that any Lowrider event has dirt on the showground. Hydros and bags are adjustable you know, they aren't always scrapin'.
It may seem like a biased opinion from me but by making a Lowrider you aren't ruining a car or wasting a classic, your making a classic to a trend that is very, very popular today and it makes people respect the classics. Classic cars shouldn't be so disrespected that they just fade away, what new cars has the lines that the 40s,50s and 60s had? None! A nice example would be a late 30s or even early 40s Ford, the way the lines just flow into the tail end just looks so beautiful to me.

Yes it is a toyota Celica from the DUB model range :), cost me like $45 AUD fo it here In Perth West Aus. I wanna get the Supra next :). They also have a cool range of lowrider models in the DUB range too, with some wild paint jobs ;). For me, I've just always liked he weight of the diecasts and how they feel so solid.
