I never thought of them for me and i always figured i'd get my seats upholstered. Again, i changed my mind. I figure since i can't do anything with my back seats, I'll get those upholstered anyway. I'm looking for a set of seats in red and black so it'll match the rest of the interior. I haven't looked into seats or any research and all i know is of Tenzo and Sparco. And how hard are they to get it? how hard are the stock seats on a 98 civic to get out?

Dude get R1's there so nice, I have Tenzo R's and they are nice but there kinda small and I'm not that big of a person. My friend just bought R1's and OMG I was pissed they were so nice and they were a lot less expensive than mine but O well I'm not changing mine now that I got them

would ebay be the first place to go? I used to use JCWhitney but i found out they can be a little expensive. How much did the R1's cost?

there was another problem too. I got these 2 headrest monitors that i was planning on putting in. I haven't had the chance to see any seats up close but i'm just guessing that putting a monitor on the back of the seat wouldn't be as easy as a regular seat. Should i scratch that idea and put them somewhere else in the backseat? possibly build something that flips down the monitors from the roof on the inside?

You can get a PAIR of R1 seats for something like $420 from Impex Motorsport on San Gabrial bl. a half block north of Sprewell Racing.

Ok first off, the seats arn't what really kills your pocket book, its the brackets. Its actually almost just as much for the damn brackets as it is the seats. Just look around I'm not sure where the cheapest place to get them is, I think I remember seeing them on the Monterey Motor sports web site for pretty cheap. As far as the monitors go, I'm gonna try with my seats but I'm filling in the spot for the harnesses because I'm not using them anyway. But I've heard its really hard because there isn't much padding there and the metal frame will get in the way, guess I'll find out when I reupholster my seats. Well I hope I helped a little, -peace:D

YUP, they do all that if but you have to buy sliders, and mounting brackets for all racing seats that I know of, so it's like 60 bucks a bracket so thats like $240 for all the sliders and brackets

Sometimes places will throw in the sliders/brackets for free. I know a lot of vendors on www.groupbuycenter do that for race seats.

whiteracer The seats I've seen at Impex are pretty much replicas of Sparco Torino style seats, fully reclinable, and adjustable and all that.
