Who has them, what are your times and what are the mods. What extra parts had to be bought for the swap, etc. Just wanna know cause i am planning on getting one and adding a 75 wet shot of nitrous. Comments?

Good swap. Need tranny, linkage, and mounts. If you go obd-1 then you need to wire it as such.

Right beside the basics of linkage, ecu, and wiring and mounts. By thw way what tranney. Stock LS tranney or should i source another tranny?

This one we are using the stock LS tranny. But b16 tranny would be better.
Other than that, we really didnt need any extra parts, other than the usual, timing belt, etc..

It depends on your set up. If goin turbo then LS trans will be good. If you're goin all motor then the b16 trans is nice. Since the gears are short on b16 i would get the ys1 (92-93) gsr cable trans. Otherwise you gonna spin alot with all that torque.

ls swaps are the easyest thing in the world, but if you go b18b it is a little more trouble. i personaly like the b18a cable tranny for the fact of it gives you that better torque out put at low end(for driveability reasons)

dont mean to steal your thread or anything, but i was wondering about the weight of the b18. if i wanted to autocross would that affect the handling alot?

i'm not sure of exact weights but anytime you add more weight in the front (which b series does) you are gonna have more understeer. One tip is to relocate the battery to the hatch area. You can also get a set of GOOD coilovers and counterbalance your car to help dial it out.

its not that much heavier. they drive fine but you could bet a set of integra coilovers because they have the proper spring rate for that motor

Cool, i was thinking b18b but i am still up in the air on the tranny. I like the gearing of the y1 but 5 gear is too short. I want an occansional run on the highway so i want a taller final gear. I was thinking maybe stock ls with a 75 shot of nitrous. If i go this and the engine already needs a rebuild, do you guys think i should raise the compression to about 10.5 or 11:1?

if i was rebuilding my engine, i would up it to 10.5

11 is pushing it on pump gas. and if you are spraying it i would definitly go with 10.5

You can 12:1 on pump gas but its not safe for Nitrous. I knew of someone spraying and he has 11:1 cr.

well acctualy you can spray a motor up to like 14 but then you need forged crank, rods and pistons , then a fuel managment . so it really only depends on how much money you got. but i disagree with running 12 on pump gas(93). you have detonation i would run cam2

I know a quite of few ppl running 12:1 on pump gas. They told me not to run on pump gas if u have 12:5.
