I have a 1984 Nissan RV what kind of refigerant is in it? can I just add some r-134a ?

wrong.....sorry r-12 unless its been up graded then you'd be correct

It is r-12 and expensive.If you don't have a AC section 609 requirement liscense you can't even buy it. I would convert over to 134-a
