Hello, I have just got my self a new alpine chm-s360 cd changer for my 1999 156, as this seemed to be the one everywhere suggested as the standard alfa 156 model. I removed the head unit to see where the cable was going and it seems to dissapear down to the floor and into the center under the handbrake etc. I am assuming it goes through the car to the boot. But I can not find the other end anywhere.
If anyone else has installed a cd changer into an alfa 156 can you give me any hints.
the connector supplied is an m-bus cable (5.5m) and has around connector with the pins. the only connectors in the boot are rectangular ones and I am assuming for the lights and indicators. not the radio.
any help much apreciated!

What was your head unit connected to? Is your changer an FM modulated one?

Got it sorted. there was previously nothing connected, but the connector was hidden in the boot at the left hand side, under the inner boot lining. just had to peel back a little further than I was willing to try at first.
Cheers for the intrest though.
