92 Dodge Caravan not starting

I have a 92 Dodge Caravan with a 3.3L V6 engine. The past couple of weeks the check engine light has been coming on and then going back off on its own. This morning I was headed to town when I hit a small hole in the rode and my car died. It will not restart. We tried undoing the battery cables and putting them back on. That did not solve the problem. When we checked the check engine light code we came up with a 12. The chart we have says this is the code for a starter switch. We have tested it and it appears to be working fine. Does anybody have any ideas?

Try smacking the top of the dash with your fist and see if it will start. Sounds like a bad solder joint in the cluster to me.
