Hi i got a 1988 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham with a 5.0L (305)
i bought the car but the AC didnt work and was still the original R12 but
found out that R12 now days is about $100 pound.
I figured lets convert it instead of filling it and it leaking
do to a leak, well i did and there was a leak so now
i want to close the leak with R134a stop leak but dont want to try it
and it not work.
should i try the R134a stop leak or just get it send in and fixed professionaly
thank you for ur time

do not use any stop leak ..this daMAges the system...use some leak detector ,,find out were the leak is first..then you or get estimate to fix whatever is leaking...It could be the compressor seal ..or gaskets/O rings, hole in condenser or lines to condenser...
I am assuming you installed the correct conversion oil when you installed the 134 !
