After a short break of 25 years, it is time to start modelling again. And what better place to start than the Group C cars I loved as a teenager. Modern Le Mans racers leave me a little cold, but the 962 and XJR9 with full tobacco livery look wonderful. The Jaguar was bought on ebay and while all parts were correct and present it was obvious the box had seen better days. The decals were a bit yellow too. Correct decals were from the wonderful people at Modelworks.com. Apart from those it was all OOB. Bit soon for me to be adding PE and engine wiring, maybe in the future (remember my modelling skills are as they were when I was 15). Paints were Tamiya, I used Rattle-cans for the body work. TS-37 Lavender came out great. ps I have been looking at this site for awhile now and am in awe of the work here. Give me time and I may catch up.

I just started on the decals of my 787b that's been an on and off project for the last few years, I'm determined to finish it this week, and this is just even more drive to do so, nice work.

Nicely done and welcome back to the hobby! Have to agree with you, LeMans cars are my passion and the Group C era is definitely my favorite. I think you will find that the kits and materials to build them with have improved dramatically.

Both look excellent to me! I too think the Group C racers were a great period for sports car racing, those Jag's sounded awesome too!
