Just wondering how much work is involved in installing a lowering kit on a Grand Prix GT or GTP. I was thinking about lowering it 1.5inches in the rear and 1inch in the front. Could someone post a picture of a 4 door Grand Prix with lowering springs so i can see how low it actually is as well with how much work is involved. One more thing, what is the cheapest lowering kit out there for my ride?

I have been told to heat the coils, but that sounds like something you MUST be real carfull doing. I rather not go to this method b/c I don't feel like rewining the stock springs. Whats your opinion?

I just lowered my 97 GTP 2 inches by the heating method. I have also done my Nissan 300 TT. Its a quick easy job using a torch...just be carefull and have a extinguisher standing by. You have to cut the rubber boots away from your shocks and heat the center coil until it starts to sag. Use a block of wood on your tire so the body settles down to the point you want. You will need a camber kit because your wheels will settle with the toe out. I hope this helps a little
