I got my z6 with tranny and ECU for 600, damn valve cover bolt holes were over-torqued though:(, oh well.

congrats on the motor, and to the guy who brought his motor home in his hatch, i brought a ZC back 20 40 miles in the back of a CRX that was stripped, and sat back there with it so it wouldnt move....hahaha talk about stupid.

aww u mofo! you got the VTEC valve cover i went to a place called hondamans here and they do great work and have alot of stuff, over 20 years experience with honda's, the motor didnt have the VTEC vavle cover when he pulled it off the truck but this guy is tight he told another guy to go get me one that they had layin around he was like you want that dont you i was like sure

and i dont really like the vavle cover all that much im gonna get my dad to take it to work and sand blast it and do it over :( it took me an hour to tape off the H symbol and VTEC

dont do that.....just do this, get airplane remover its called and spray the thing with it, and let it sit, and that shit eats the crap out of the paint, right down to the metal, and then you wash it off with a hose, and then you just painted the WHOLE thing(even the honda symbol) and then take either sand paper or a one of those belt sanders and sand the tops of them, mine came out perfect. its easy. you dont want to sand blast it, cause you take the chance of getting sand that you cant see into the valve cover, and if you put it back on with the sand in it, i hope you know what will happen, bye bye new motor.

congrats man, good luck with your new motor...

as for the valve cover, just get some paint stripper and when you go to paint it, use vasoline or motor oil and put that on the h and vtec symbols.. paint it and then just wipe off the oil/vasoline...
works good

anyways, good luck and keep us posted!

ill just get my dad to sandblast it, its free...... he does it at work all the time, and ill deff try the vasoline way......taping was very time consuming, ill deff keep posted im hoping to move everything to the garage thursday or friday and work on it all weekend
