ive been having this problem since last summer. ill be driving along and the truck acts like its not getting fuel and the rpm will drop. if i turn the ignition off and restart i can drive probably 15 more miles and it will do it again. ive recently changed the fuel pump and filter, spark plugs and used fuel treatment. it seems to only mess up in hot weather. could it be a sensor? someone please help me. any suggestions would be helpful

If this is a 4.3L V6 engine:
You'll need to install a fuel pressure tester that you can watch while you're driving, (tape it to the windshield, mirror, etc). When it acts up, see if fuel pressure drops off.
Key on, engine off, fuel pump running, pressure should be 58psi to 64psi and must remain above 53psi for 3 to 5 minutes after the fuel pump shuts off. Make sure it passes both of those tests first.
GM does not publish any "engine running" fuel pressure specs but, while cruising at a steady speed on level ground, pressure should be around 50psi. Post your results.
