Integra GSR Crankshaft

Hi,
I have a GSR with a spun bearing.
One of the crankshaft journals has some scoring on it.
A local and experienced machine shop says that they grind 0.25mm or 0.010inches off all the journals and fit oversized bearings on them. If this is done to precision, will it still be reliable ? I've been told about the nitride coating on the crankshaft that may be comprimised.
