Poorly mounted torque converter?

Without a doubt this is my best guess on the vibrations i get at idle and at certain RPMs. Might also explain how at around 1100 RPM the vibrations sort of cancel out. Anyone else think this could this be the cause?

And sorry for flooding the forum with my posts. I just can't go another week without my car!

with vacuum guage check for vacuum leaks.. do you have the 305 carb on this 350 engine ?

did you remove the torque converter ? when installing the flywheel did you use torque wrench and use some med thread locker on the studs ?

measure the plug wire resistance ,,make sure the plugs did not get cracked/damaged when installing..

Torque converter was not removed. I was using an Edelbrock (1406) carb on an Edelbrock intake. BUT, today i swapped in the quadrajet to see if the carb was the problem, and its not, the car still shudders the same way. Plugs are good and i'm pretty sure same with the wires. Might resort to getting a whole new set tomorrow if i get desperate.

Like i said in another post, the flywheel on this engine is a lot bigger than the 305. It has more bolt holes than the 305 flywheel too. But it still matched with the 3 holes on the torque converter. I'm guessing the flywheel is so big because its the truck LM1? Don't know if this could be a problem. I think what i'll do tomorrow is get directly under the torque converter/flywheel (carefully ) with the engine running and see if i see any wobbling.
