4th Gen Short Shifter

Anyone know where to get a short shifter for the 4th Accord? I know pacesetter makes one, and nopionline is on back order.

I'M NOT TRYING TO SPEND 100 DOLLARS ON THE NEUSPEED ONE, WHEN I CAN PAY 30 DOLLARS FOR THE SAME THING.

Any suggestions??

i just ordered my pacesetter one from www.autosupermart.com for like $30 but its on back order and they dont know when it will be in. im in no rush to get it anyway.

you cant pay 30 for the same thing. the real short shifter made for 4th gens is the forbidden one which goes for like 130 shipped. I dont believe there are any other short shifters. there are adapters that suck and most people get rid of soon after installing because of the notchyness.

ya I'm talking about the adaptors. they are no good? I never heard that. Where do you get the forbidden shifters?

That is not true at all. the thing i bought was NOt and adapter it was the shift rod itself. i dont feel like going into the mechanics of how a short shifter shortens throw. but trust me you dont need to spend $100+ all you need to do is raise and lower the leverage point where the cable connects to the shift rod. thats what the shortshift does. its has an adjustable shift rod connector.

As for my car, im very sorry to dissapoint you. but that pic isnt real. it is a photo-chop of my car with the body kit i orderd. so in otherwords. the car is real. but the body kit and color isnt. The kit will be here in like 2 weeks then im getting it painted candy apple red (from the stock maroon color it is now) so thats what it WILL look like soon enough ill post pics when its done

akkord, the pic is still tight! but bad news........nopi online said the pacesetter short shifter is an adaptor, not the entire shift lever. thanks just what they told me.

looks like the whole thing to me :rolleyes: even if its not. im still not spending $100 on it not worth it to me i dont really race very often. not until i get the mighty H22a anywayz. :sun:

The nuespeed shifter isnt a shifter either. Its just an adapter.

The only problem with an adapter is that it doesnt shorten the throw AS MUCH. I still love mine and think its well worth it, even if you dont race. It makes it so much more fun to drive. =)

like I said forbidden is the only real one. even if you see one advertised on a site or something it will either be the wrong picture or they conviently don't have it in stock or whatever. and yes I understand how a shifter works. I used to just have a bracket that moved the cable up. but then the higher you go it also gets pulled back, more custom work needed. I just decided to go with the aftermarket one. specifically after mine failed since I didnt have a cotter pin and I was stuck in first gear :redface:

also adjustable cable position so you can go real short for the track and the middle hole for the street. and bottom is like stockish.
