desperately in need of running boards for 89

HELP! i need to find running boards for an 1989 suburban. preferably pipe style but will take whatever i can find. i have spoken with numerous aftermarket parts people who swear up and down - no problem, then fail to deliver the goods. the last guy called westin directly and i was told get this "they are making them specifically for 89 suburbans" next month. of course next month took over a year and still no running boards. i guess i am being too particular but i want running boards that can be installed DIRECTLY TO THE FRAME, not the sides of the vehicle. i refuse to put any holes in my truck. my suburban as i said is an 89 with only 55k original miles on it and absolutely not a spec of rust, i guess that's due to having the vehicle rust proofed before i ever drove it off the lot, i guess the stuff really does what it says it will. anyway, wish i had a digital camera to show you what it looks like as it is a beauty. i did recently have the vehicle repainted as the original two-tone factory silver/black paint just seemed to peel off. Wish i had bought running boards back in 89 but who'd a thought you'd never be able to buy them, go figure. also, it's a 3/4 ton if that matters about the running boards.
