my guess is that u take a flat plastic, metal, or cf sheet.....cut it to size.....drill or cut out ur holes for the gauges....drill holes in the plate for mounting or epoxy it

IMO - you don't really want your gauges to be down there...you will have to take a long glance from the road to read them...that is one reason the pillar gauge pods are popular...they actually are a little safer than most other designs. Have you noticed the more recent trends of newer cars (i.e. 98+ Accord, etc..) has all the controls and shit up pretty high on the dash...so your eys don't wander to far from the road.

yeah i agree, it would be a cool addition if they were like useless guages, but to move your eyes, then focus on em to get a reading, then you could have traveled 1000ft down the road already.
what would be nice that me and my friend did into his car was take the left air vent, cut out a sheet of metal and formed it into the design as the vent then put a guage in there.

I wanted the boost/vac gauge down there. I mean once you set it you know what boost your running so there is no checking it while going down the road.

if u have a turbo u better have a oil presure gauge cuz that is the vital part of your motor or if u really want to be careful get a oil TEMP guage and if ur running a junkyard turbo run a oil cooler and a oil filter relocater

the new mercury maruder has a couple of guages down there too, i believe its a voltmeter and a water temp sensor.
