My cougar stalled last night and wouldnt start. No check engine light came on, nothing... I had about a quarter tank of gas in the car so i DONT THINK running out of gas was the problem... Anyone had any problems like this b4?

i know back when i had my 99 i would have problems with the fuel gauge being horribly inaccurate and i would run out of gas around 1/4 of a tank sometimes. easy things to try is put some fuel in(prolly not the prblem but easy to try) and replace your fuel filter.
have you been having any other problems like hesitation of bucking when at 1/4 of a tank or less? this ussually occurs during hard acceleration. but if this is the case could be fuel filter or even the fuel pump(very common problem). also the alternator is prone to go out. but i would do the cheap and easy fuel filter and add some fuel first.
i will be adding a link to a fuel filter how-to as soon as i find it.
