Hello,

Can anyone help? When installing a new camshaft interruptor magnet, does anyone know which way to insert the magnet back into the hole on the sprocket? The magnet is shaped like a top hat. When installing the interruptor from the camshaft sensor hole, does the part with the magnet go in first, or does the part with the brim go in first?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you plan to install the magnet through the sensor hole rather than removing the front cover & cam gear; Click Here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=701011) & Here (http://padgett.performanceresearch.us/cars/cammag.htm)

Thats a great write up that that guy did a long ways back.... I still remember him too...

Anyhow, many years after that was written..... A battery of people have used this method with great success and have had no issues...

Personally this is not my method of repair, but it does work and can save you from ripping the motor apart...:)
