Last night i finally receive my Novitec Rosso 20" wheel from Hobby Design

Note that thickness of the wheel is not balance, it's thinner at the right side, although this wont be much visible when the tire is insert. Tire are not included but Hobby Design does provide 4pcs air valve. Not the best quality but i think still acceptable for the money, its about USD $11 excluded shipping, clean up will take some time :p

here's the real thing to compare

Here'a a comparison between Fujimi's 599 pentagon wheel

hmm...I just ordered the aston martin dbs special wheels from hobby design and I'm kind of worried at what I'm going to get :( It looks like they could have spent a little more time in making a better mold. I agree with the last statement, sure does look good from afar :D

Whats with the finger print looking texture over the rim? can really see it around the lug nuts and the lips.. Will take some priming and sanding to get rid of that.. May be limited in my wheel choices but from the looks of that Ill stick with Fujimi, aoshima, and pegasus wheels..

What's up with Hobby Design's "hit & miss" product quality? Some products looks good from them and others look like a bit questionable (keeping in mind all the products I'm talking about are new or recently released). If I haven't already lost faith in Hobby Design, I sure will soon...

That just doesn't look right. Not the overall appearance from far away, that's allright.
But up close it really looks horrible - qualitywise. The shape is OK... but surface finish and
flash are not good. I'd rather spend a little more money and buy other wheels... as it would drive me nuts to clean up four of these rims - and still having to look for suitable tires. No thanks, Hobbydesign :(

phatmitsu, that's no finger print, its 3D printing marks, but yeah, HD should have clean it up nicely before mold it and sell it, they don't seems put too much effort in it

if not because i really want the novitec rosso wheel for my 599, i definitely wont buy it, considering the amount of time needed to make it look right :p

Hmmmm, some clean up required. Would be nice if there was a quality wheel and tire manufacturer. I add tires because its annoying having to steal tires from another kit, or ordering tires separately.

I agree with Sebastian. Besides lots of cleaning the right nut on the second photo seems to be damaged.

Another low quality item from HD ...

I noticed that two. However it wont matter much as you will have to mod that out anyways. The real wheels have the lug nuts mounted in the wheel not surface mounted like the scale wheels. Looks like you will have to sand them off, drill holes, add new lug nuts..

Same here. What a horrible product from HD.
Some cleanup required? A whole lots of cleanup required. Totally unacceptable, especially given the fact that a lot less "able" manufacturers are bringing much superior products to the market at lower or same cost.

so now you all know if it's worth getting one of this wheel :iceslolan

definitely a lot of effort is needed to make it look good, the lung nut is not an issue, i will flatten it completely, drill it and use some PE bolt
