Hey all, I have a 98 Chevy 1/2 ton, 5.7L and it seems that after sitting for a few hours it is losing fuel prime in the rail. After sitting for a few hours, I pressed the schrader valve in the fuel rail, and there was no pressure. Any ideas on where the pressure is going? Is there a check valve in the fuel rail to stop the fuel from draining back into the lines/tank?
Any input would be great.
Thanks

Most likely the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) but it could also be the fuel pump or a leaking poppet of the injector.
The FPR is a very common issue.

Yeah man, FPR is almost assuredly the issue here.

It has 0 pressure after a few hours? I dont know if I'd be too worried about 0 pressure after 2 hours. If pressure drops to 0 minutes or immediatly after, then you have a problem. Are you having a drivability problem?
