Hello all, :1zhelp: please,
K, am driving yesterday about 10 miles and forgot wallet, turned around and when got in driveway, or should that be parkway, I put it in park and felt bad idle on this 3.8 engine, and noticed engine light was on, I have an OBD ll scanner in center console and with still running I hooked it up to find code PO403. The EGR is about a year old from dealership. Disconnected both leads to battery and cleaned, then removed and took apart EGR valve and was in pretty good shape. Cleaned up, diaphram is good. Reinstalled EGR and leads to battery, checked all fused, and started to have the same problem with idle. I pulled hose on egr diaphram and sucked, killed engine, so it seems to be fine, when putting the hose back on the EGR it was freakin serious hot and it was only on a minute if that, I touched the exhaust and it wasn't bad. Waited about 20 mins and restarted after cooled and maybe 10 seconds with touching the exhaust and egr together, the egr got to hot to touch, the exhaust manifold did get warm but not like the egr. I checked internet, read about the code, and it seems to all be in another language I dont understand. So my question is...do I have to put her down? or is RIP going to help me out here? :sarcasm1: ...lol, anyways any help figuring this one out would be great. Am lookin forward to it...
