Ok, I'm 17, and I REALLY want a Skyline (prefer a GTR), money is no problem... Is there any other place besides MOTOREX where I can have one imported? They have 2 to choose from and frankly that isn't a good enough.:smoka:
What am I looking to spend? *roughly? If I have to (if I can do this?) I will go to Japan and have it shipped from a damn dealer... what are my options here?
Thanks,
Zach Donner

Thanks for the help, but I have one more probably stupid question. What exactly makes a Skyline GTR not street legal in the USA?

you could start with the emissions...
it wasn't crash tested, etc.
this has been done sooo many times.
motorex is the only company that legalizes them in the US.
rbmotoring is tyndago, and he gets his done by motorex and sells them on his own...
he's the first to admit that...
please go through the threads here, this topic is about as worn out as a 2 dollar hooker at happy hour...

Damn all those cars and only 1 business in the US does that?? Selection sucks :(
Back to my other question, if I went through the trouble of actually flying over seas, pick one out, buy it and ship it over and had it legalized.... can that be done? Or is that impossible?

Yes, it's possible...
But, you would still have to go through Motorex to have it legalized. They are currently the only ones who are able to legalize the skylines.
Check their website, it shows you the cost for legalizing the skylines. I think it ranges from $16,000 to $25,000.
You might also want to call them before actually going to Japan to make sure you know exactly what kind of paperwork you'll need to fill out before shipping it to the US.
The other option is to buy from RB Motoring... they currently have 6 vehicles that will be available between June and August...

yeah I'm eye balling the Silver 97 R33 .... but I really want an R34..... That's pretty much the only reason I'd consider going all that way for that.

motorex had an interview in a mag a while back that talked about what you're considering...
they'll help anyone legalize a car, you don't have the get it from them...
that's the way rbmotoring does it...
they bring car, motorex makes it legal, rb sells it...
not too bad...
and sean has to be one of the smartest/knowledgable skyline guys in the country...
motorex has the market cornered b/c they do it right...
you pay for it, but it gets done right...

Save yourself a lot of money...If you are looking at an R33 get 96 or older. After that you have to deal with OBDII standards and the legalization price goes from 17grand to 25 grand on an R33. Just a hint.
