Pearl??

So you guys always say pearl over or using some pearl to make it i don't know.......
So what is pearl??
Is it just TS-45 pearl white??

well the Pearl effect is a satin metalic iridescent finish, they can also range in different colors but silver is the most common. whats it made of i really dont know but i believe theyre just ground up silver mylar flakes. TS-45 just happens to be Tamiyas pearl paint, you can find pearl powders at art supply stores and mix them into any medium you want but besure that its clear.

And in addition, bottled pearl paint appears to be an overcoat, while powdered pearl pigment appears to go together with the paint on directly.
