I am in the process of removing the old pitman arm from my 4wd '96 K1500 Suburban. The puller I got from AZ is too small. It is the larger of the two they gave me, but the jaws only open about 1-1/2". The steering box shaft at the base of the pitman arm is closer to 2". I know many of you have done this job, but I need to know the size of the puller you used and where you got it.
Or....am I doing something wrong with the one I have? The steering box is still in the truck, rotated for access to the shaft (nut came off fairly easily).

You need a hd high quality puller not an AZ tool, try Napa for the proper one.

My bad. There was a rubber seal from the box that was stopping the puller from going on. Had to remove the box completely to get everything in place. A little tough to get off but not bad. Messy, messy stuff. New arm is in place, time for church, and back to the rest tomorrow.
Thanks for the help.
