Quick question...
After have my AC die over the winter, I put a can of refrigerant in it and it has helped...slightly. The AC is moderately cool, not cold or even close to that.
Its a impovement however.
Is it unreasonable or unsafe to put one more can in?

This is just my experience, BUT a few years ago I had issues with the A/C output on my '02 Vulcan SES. I fooled around with it without any success. Got tired of estimating and guessing. Saw an ad in the paper from an A/C shop about an A/C tune up special. They hooked up their recycling/recharge machine to the system, read the capacities off the vehicle and renewed the system so it works superb. For a few bucks I certainly think it was worth it, especially living in Las Vegas.

today's a/c systems have small refridgerant amounts and require accurate charges; something you can't do with a can. Over and under filled systems can cause the symptoms you are describing. I agree with the other post; best way is done by a shop.
that said...what is your static pressure...min should be 50psi.

Well, I added a can of refridgerant and the pressure when I started was around 20 and around 45 when I was done.
It has seemed to help so far.

Well, the AC is working well but the original problem has reared its ugly head. My wheel on the AC compressor started sounding like a cement mixer abd upon viewing it, it has quite the shimmy.
Taking it to the garage to have it replaced.
New, used, rebuilt? Any suggestions.
