91 3Cyl Oil Pan replacement. Is it better to use a traditional gasket, or something like a rubberized sealer? Your knowledge will help, I swung out on this one.

They used rtv from the factory and that's all I use with no problems in about a dozen rebuilds. Ken.....

I had nothing but problems with pan gaskets. I went through two, before I finally decided to remove the gasket all together. I thoroughly cleaned the surfaces and just used RTV sealer with no gasket. I let it set over night and filled it up the next morning. Didn't have a single problem again.:smokin:
