Brake/Hazard lights ONLY not working

93 GMC K1500 Sierra. Turn signals work, tail lights and reverse lights work. Flasher for turn AND hazards are working. Checked hazard flasher by supplying power. I am thinking there is a "relay" for both brake lights and hazards. Is that correct? I thought it was A/C relay untill I tried to turn hazard lights on and heard it tick. Was NOT the flasher, is black relay. Cant find any other wire issues and brake light switch has been replaced as precaution but did not solve problem.

Later that same day....

Solution found:
Replaced "relay" for hazard and stop (assumed) and did not correct problem. Continued to trace wire after wire untill I found an orange one that Haynes manual said was suppose to be "always hot". That orange wire sent me back to the fuse block. Origionally I had checked fuse marked "Brake". It was fine. So I metered them all, truck on and truck off. Looked at one of the bottom fuses marked "Stop". Fuse was hot on one side, not hot on the other. Replaced fuse. Stop and Hazards are working again.

The moral is, reguardless of what they are marked, check them all. Not sure now what the "brake" one is for. Just assumed it was for brake lights... duh!!!
