Looking for remove and replace diagram, for a 1999 Grand Caravan A/C Evaporator Core. I'm assuming that the formal way to get to it is to remove the top of the dashboard, but I'm not sure. I can get to the heater core, without removing the dashboard and wondered if there's a way to get to the A/C core, without removing the dashboard as well!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone got pictures, please share and thanks.
UPDATE: I've found a diagram link for evaporator core remove and replacement.

sorry if I hijack this thread.
My 97 GC air con doesn't work either, shop checked it leaked.
So should I just need to replace the evaporator core and fix the problem?
Thanks in advance.

If you trust the mechanics and they said the evaporator was leaking.
Real easy to start a thread. Click "New Thread" at top left of opening "Caravan" page.

I just completed this job on my 1999 Grand Caravan Sport 3.8L. While the job is time consuming it is not technically difficult.
I've added more detailed instructions to mr_mahoney's thread located here: http://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-caravan/195415-ac-evaporator-repair-instructions-with-pictures.html
