What'd You Do For Halloween?

I spent the evening throwing a nice li'l party for a club I'm in. It's called Best Buddies, and we help kids with mental and physical disabilities. We had a great time dancin', scarfin' down candy, and watching movies. A fun time was had by all. What'd y'all AF'ers do?

Went to a worship service at church. Im not into the whole god thing or anything and I didnt want to go but I promised this rlly nice girl that Id go with her, and I dont break my own promises. It ended up to actually be alot of fun, I met some pretty ok ppl there, and I got a whole new kinda respect for this girl too.

After, I went home and sat back with a few mikes, and pondered the idea of calling her up to get together somore.

After the mikes set in...i was content to goto sleep early :)

Sweet f'all! I took some Advil and took a nap then watch Junk Yark Wars. Frickin head ache. :(

I got roped into handing out the candy for the family. :bloated: And let me say it was DANG cold out last night... No one went trick-or-treating beyond their own neighborhoods b/c of the antsyness of the public, so I think I gave away about 10 candy bars. But that just means more for me :cool:

I was working came home ate some candy my little brother got and went to sleep.

Went to the gym. Came home - through a steak on the grill. Ate dinner and watched the Red Wings beat Dallas. Yeah! Went online to look at houses for sale done in the Odemos area. And the whole time after I got home, give out candy to destroy the teeth of the youth of America!

got really really shitty :D some friends and I were planning on getting drunk and going out to a haunted house but that didn't happen so we just got straight shitty :)

I went as a mail man with a gas mask on. I had a box filled with flour that I threw at people. It was great. I went to a costume party and had a blast.

went to a friends party, drunk, hangover today at school, etc. etc. :D

also while drunk, hosed down a couple kids, lol :D it was cold last night too (it seems like it's always cold or bad weather on halloween).... there was a group of older like 15 year olds tryin ta get candy, I gave'em a good hose down :D

LOL... last year we made the front of my friends garage look like it was a haunted house, we had a smoke machine too so you couldn't see anything, when kids walked in they'd get shocked to find there is water being sprayed in their face, hahahahahaha :D :D good times

my parents are anti-halloween so i didnt do anything. i have never gone trick or treating before. i dont really care though. we used to always go to a movie when i was younger, but this year we just got some grub. after that watched the baseball game and got on AF

that's actually incorrect. a little history lesson here, but oct. 31 was when martin luther pinned the 95 theses on some church door starting the protestant reformation. it has been turned into a "pagan" holiday. i'm only 15. i don't have a set curfew but my parents want me back before a certain time. when i hit 16, 17, etc... they don't care anymore. my parents aren't all that strict, they're just dumb :)

I went to work. We had five guys in, when 3 guys is enough on a really tough night. We had like 2 customers come into the store. But I got free candy and money, so it was OK

No, thats not what I meant. I meant that there parents could get the candy for them or something, and if there was no trick-or-treating in the first place,then kids wouldnt look forward to extra candy.

And I agree with Jimmy, When I have kids, im not gonna let em go out either, if they want some candy, ill just buy em some :)

I don't celebrate Halloween...mostly for religious reasons...but my fiance and I spent a nice evening out at a coffee shop with another friend talking about the next projects we want to do for our cars :)

I am a born-again Chrisitian. It's not strict like "OMG Halloween is bad..your gonna go to hell if you are trick or treating". For most of the population it is a day to dress up and eat candy, which is fine, but for a small portion (people in cults or other religions) it has a whole different meaning...and there are alot of things going on there that I do not agree with.

I do not want to start a big huge flame war on what's right or not, I just don't participate in it for my own personal reasons and am not going to criticize those who do :)

I also don't agree with some of it, but I did go trick or treating when I was younger. I didn't know what was going on, it was just a day to get free candy from people for me. I went as big bird when I was 4. I had the yellow tights, feather suit, and mask...:D:D:D

what's wrong with taking part in trick or treating which is harmless??! if you take part in the cult things, then you're messed up. The people in cults don't go trick or treating, so you're not being like them. I have nothing against you not taking part in it, i'm just wondering why not... cause i see churches giving out candy on halloween, so aint nothin wrong with that. If it was that bad then churches wouldn't give out candy

Neither of us said trick or treating is bad, and I did it myself. My church gives out candy. The regualr activities like that are harmless, it's just what the whole holiday has come to mean that I'm against

I never did do the trick or treating as a kid (religion + strict father :p...nuther story there) and my family never participated in handing out candy...just the way I grew up. Over the last few years I haven't been home to pass out stuff anyways. One church I did go to years ago passed out candy and had a funhouse thing going on which was cool. My current church doesn't even do that.

My church holds a games night and has pizza and stuff as an alternative to trick or treating for the kids. I think it's great.

How did your father handle not passing out candy? All these hopeful little kids come to your door asking for candy..."No!"

Basically what they do around where I live is wait for anyone, and I mean anyone, to come through the neighborhood. Then those people become victims of eggs. Sometimes it can get pretty wicked. I just don't want them hitting my car with an egg, I would kill them on that note.

yeah if you don't give out candy some hoodlums might give you the eggs :)
