Spark Plugs

I know, its my crappy cell phone camera again, but I put these plugs in last year around this time. They are NGK Iridiums. The gaps on them are all very close to what I set them at last year. Car runs good and everything, I was just bored one day so I took a few out to see what the gaps were.

My question, is what would cause the tips to have a greenish color to them? Not super green, but light lime green ish. I am using dex-cool so it can't be coolant (unless orange coolant burns green). And the only other thing I could think of is the additives in the gas I use. Which is almost always top tier gas from Kwik-Trip.

Can you see the greenish tint on the top of the plug?

I see the green but your pic isn't too good.

Plugs are too hot. Drawback of using Iridium.

Hey Bob,

They are too hot? Heaning I have excessive KR?

So I should drop down one more step and stick with iridiums, or should I get copper cores?

Thanks for the heads up!

What's better? The copper cores or the platinums?

Not way too hot but hot for sure. The green you see is oxidation as a result.

Go with the Autolite copper cores. Thats all I ever use(d) in my GTP since modded way back when. :grinyes:

Sweet, I like the price of them too, plus I have no issues changing plugs every summer time. I will definatly get a set of copper cores. Should I go with 605's or 104's?

Thanks Bob!
