Would You Visit Outer Space?

Some guy has aleady bought his way to space tourism. Sooner or later, it'll be available to the general public. Expensive at first, sure, but the price will come down in time...

Would you go to Outer Space? I would... :D Would you be one of the first? Me: maybe not. Where would you like to go? It's a big place, the universe.

The world is a big enough place for me. We haven't even completely explored the oceans and we're pouring all this moolah into space exploration...

I would be all for visiting space, or the depths of the ocean for that matter.

I might consider visiting outer space. Though I would wait for a more established, really established, form of transportation to get up there. Not that NASA isn't established enough.

I'm all for it, if you can access AF from space that is :D

I'm more interested in visiting the depths of the ocean then the depths of space. I am into ameurter astonomy, but that doesnt mean I want to see it up close and personal.

Just imagine, someone with a fear of heights and going into space. Catastrophic!!:D

I'd be keen on going into space. I have always thought there is some other life form out there apart from us on earth.

Be a lot better if they could just beam us around the place.

i'd go to space, that would be an amazing experience... i would be one of the first regular people, sure :)
The chances of anything happening to you are slim to nill :D
and i'd rather go to space than the depths of the oceans, just because i feel that it would be safer for some reason and because it's more exciting (cause you see water all the time :) )
i think there are like giant octapussys at the bottem of the ocean, i read that somewhere, they have like 30-50 foot long tentacles... and they say that there could be alotta crazy things like that down there

while i know what's in space............................................ nothing :D

I'd want to be one of the first people on Mars, but I'd also like to stay and watch it blossom into a new Utpoian Scoiety (Which I know has ramifications and problems written all over it) I like Empire Building, not conquest.

Anyway, I am all for space exploration, and I think that if we want to outlive the earth as a species, we'd better get on the ball. Because this planet is in reality a ticking time bomb. There are so many things ready to wipe us out (giant killer asteroids, our sun going supernova, the next ice age, etc.). I know that these are things that may not be happening for a long time, but eventually one of things will destroy our planet or at least its ability to sustain life. We'll need to be ready with a back up plan when good old mother earth kicks the bucket.. or we'll just kick the bucket with her and go down with the ship.

As for me personally, yeah, I guess I could dig checking out space. I do reserve myself to being content with exploring this vast planet for myself for now, however. It's a big world out there, and there's a lot to be seen and experienced, as johnny pointed out previously.

how come in so many movies they travel the speed of light... but isn't travelling the speed of light impossible for a human?? human cells/mass/molecules.. somethin like that can't take it

how is that hard to understand? I'll simplify:

It would be amazing going to space and it would be cool being one of the first non-astronauts. The chances of you getting injured or dying are really low. I would feel safer in space than deep in the ocean because I have read/seen on tv lots about giant creatures that live really deep in the ocean (one example of what i have seen on tv was the giant octopus, that has tentacles that are approximately 30-50 feet long) They were also talking about creatures that live deep in the ocean that haven't even been discovered yet, these creatures could be really dangerous and big. They haven't been discovered yet because not many people have been able to see alot at the bottem of the ocean since it is so black, you can't see farther than like a foot in front of you, if even that much. While there is nothing in space like that, since space is.. well, nothing.
