no a/c?

i just replaced all componets in the a/c system on a 2000 monte carlo 3.8 the comp. had come apart and trashed the system! I flushed the system well and installed everything new! a week later the system is not cooling? Fuses and relays are fine, the refrigerant level is fine, no leaks! The cond. fan runs, but the comp. clutch will not engage! What controls the clutch other than the high pressure switch which is okay!? Computer???
