1992 ford truck steering wheel tool

I got 1992 ford truck ,i ned to install chicken wing. i need a lock plate removeral tool. try 3 so far wrong threads.can some tell me where what the threads are? The end of the shaft at the steering colime. I have to screw the lock plate toold to endof the shaft. But advance store and auto store none the tool lock plate fits my 1990 ford steering colime shaft The diamater of threaded s, and standard or metic. nothing i get is right.Ievn bought a univeral lock plate tool, but must work for every thing but my 1990 ford truck.please .steering whell offnow cant drive it . the chicken wing is what i am ,replaceing, cause truck wont start sometimes? ty

check to see if your thread pattern is fine or coarse thread. or there may be a different thread pitch on the metric bolt. toivo
