i have a 2004 taurus with the 3.0 SOV. the compressor is about to lock up anytime. i heard u could buy a bypass pulley but i dont have the money and time to do that so i measured around all the pulleys but the a/c got a belt and the car is quiet and runs great now. my question is, is there anything i should be aware of? i just want to make sure im not going to hurt anything else bc i didnt put that bypass pulley on. any advice would be a great help. thanks

My 2005 compressor is ready to go too. I'm forking over the $500 to get it replaced. Got to have AC.
