3.1 fast idle

Got a 93 3.1 that is idling really fast. Got home from short trip, put in park and noticed it was idling fast. Shut it down, then restarted same thing. Let it cool down, same thing. Nothing under the hood appears out of place. Distributor tight, accellurator cable moves freely, all electrical plugs, are pluged in. Any idea's? Thanx

My first guess would be a vacuum leak. Start with the large vacuum line that goes to the break booster. Listen carefully for any hissing.

Then my next guess would be the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. (on the air cleaner)

Also check for vacuum leaks by the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve.
