96 rodeo engine swap with a 99 rodeo

will a 96 rodeo engine its a 3.2 bolt in a 99 rodeo it also has a 3.2. some sites say yes and others say no. i need help on this subject!!!!!:confused:

Even though a 96 3.2 and a 99 3.2 sound like they are the same, they are not. The 96 is a single overhead cam and the 99 is a double overhead cam. I'm pretty sure you would have to swap exhaust manifolds and intakes and then have the exhaust fabbed up to match it and then there's the issue with getting an exhaust shop to do the work.
