1986 hesitates,sometimes stalls?

I have a 1986 Grand Marquis with the 5.0. Sometimes the car hesitates and even stalls when stopped at traffic light. I left my headlights on last weekend, and ran the battery down. Had to have the car jumped. It's been starting ok,but I am going to go tomorrow and pick up a new battery for it, just to be on the safe side. Any idea what can be causing the hesitation and occasional stalling?

Do the normal Tune up things (Plugs, Wires, Fuel Filter, Air Filter, etc...) and see what happens. From there you can check the IAC (Idle Motor which is easy to change as it is right on the Throttle Body) and so is the Throttle Position Sensor (almost the same spot). Let us know what happens!! MB
