Turn off the lights!!!!

..... I've come across a few people who have the same problem as me and took it to a mechanic and he charged them 600 bucks to fix it (... poor girl.)

anyway my lights are ALWAYS running.... like dashlights to headlights... are constantly on... (Corolla 1990).... any reason?
