Going back in time - BBC's "BUGS" - 'Stealth' episode

This is the coolest thing I have seen all week, and thanks go out to our old friend and contributor McLaren240! for sharing the link with me so that I could share it with all of you. :)
I almost can't believe that there was ever a TV show featuring the F1 - though I believe it is referred to as the "Tronix Transit" here rather than a McLaren.

Watch the first two minutes of Part 1 and you'll get an idea of what's going on. The whole episode is about 49 minutes in length and the copyright is 1995. I haven't finished watching it but there's plenty of footage of the F1 and the Genesis factory littered throughout what I have seen so far. I'm rather amazed McLaren would participate, but even more amazing is that it was 15 years before I've seen anything related to this.

I'm definitely interested to hear the comments on this one. :)

To save everyone the trouble I've now managed to at least skim all 5 clips. F1s appear in clips 1 and 2 - some prominently like chassis #003 above, and others in the background like what I believe is #031 at Genesis.
In part 3 the spies finally get their hands on the engine from the Transit, and they've used a real S70/2 as the prop for those scenes.

After gathering their evidence from the engine they promptly blow it up. From then on, the show takes a bit of a turn and there's no real F1 content that I saw beyond that point.
I do think there is one humorous aspect to the show but I will leave that alone and see if anyone else picks up on it too.

Neat!!! Thanks for posting. I was only able to watch the first one, but will go back for the rest later. Amazing this footage hasn't surfaced before.

Now, your going to shoot me again or take me down the vets :uhoh:
I watched this episode when it was first shown and had it in the back of my mind, but could not remember what the series was called, or what channel it was on. So I did nothing in the way of searching for it (shame on me :frown:) I had it on vhs back then, but it must have been taped over :banghead: Good to see someone has posted this up on Youtube
There is also an addition to this, but my memory is a bit vaque. There was some F1 content shown on "Jim,ll Fix It" or a similar program. John Morrison, McLaren,s early sales director was shown with the F1, plus some of the stars from "Bugs"
Is it me or is there something hot!! about that pic with the women and BMW,s finest V12 :boink:
