H22 in a CRX?

Has anyone put a H22 in a 88+ civic? anyone have any websites for this?

DAMN?? Well I hope he has the muscles to steer;)

i knew someone was gonna say something about it, just so you know if i do this it will be a pretty much stright line car, hopfully capable to keep up with vettes

Can anyone give me a hint of where to find more info about this idea of putting a H22 into a civic !??

Yea, does anyone make a mount kit, i looked at hasport and they dont. sizewise will it fit or am i gonna have to take a sawsall out?

Damn i had the name of this new company. I have to go to this one shop and ask them again. THis company said u can just drop the h22 rite in with no cutting and all that crap! Just give me till tuesday and i'll get the name for u.

I'm pretty sure you will have to either cut out your pass. fender, or dent it in. Otherwise the H22 Tranny wont fit.

An h22a will fit but the shifter is cable style not rod so you have to cut a hole in tranny tunnel. There is guy over in Daytona Beach that has a Stock H22a in a six gen HB and smokes the V-8s reguarely. Ever seen a stang owner bow his head in shame cause he lost to a stock civic, with "only a small engine swap":D

Well this new company that i was talkin about doesn't require all that cutting and welding. They have it positioned where u can just drop the motor in.

Yeh but that doesn't mean that shit is safe. I still wouldn't go h22 unless i'm using it for drag only. :)

If i do this it is going to be a car that comes out only a few times a week to hit up the local drag strips or redlights... I want to keep my integra and do it more just for show now - and build a car with alot of go

how is daytona beach area for well the amount of imports, racing, ect... this upcomming fall I am going to DBCC (just to get out of RI - need to find an apartment down there though...) how are cops against mods?

Man, about ayear to two years ago, the races were hot. Cops wouldn't arrest unless they saw the races. The hot spots were one way in places that you could see headlights coming around the bends about 1/2 mile away so it was the safest places to race. It has died down a little but us hardcore racers still ride out. Hit me up when you get down. By the way, why do you want to do to DBCC?

And to anybody else looking for the hotspots in DB, the meetup right now is in a parking lot behind Ambrey Riddle.

they were either hcp's or place racing.

Dont wanna sound like a jackass but you never know who is watching these boards. If I was you in a bigger city I wouldnt post where I meet up for street racing when the cops are total assholes about it everywhere now...

Alright, well im sick of RI, it sucks... winter never stops - roads are full of pot holes, cops are always out to bust on anyone that even has a exhaust or anything...... if you try driving down the road you have to creep because every 5 feet there is a pothole that is big enough to bottom out on.... all the cops up here if they see you talking to another car with a exhaust they assume you are gonna go race and just start busting on you, its bull..... but the reason i am going ot DBCC is well the above plus i need to get out of the city im in, 90% of the people in it gew up in it and well it pretty much sucks. Im not sure what i want to do yet so i want to start out at a Jr. Collage - DBCC looks nice on the website.... probley transfer to University of Central Florida if i want to continue/stay in FL.

Place racing sucks. Plus u still have to modify the h22 to fit in rite. SO this other company said its just a drop in.

whats wrong with place racing?

i just sent them my wire harness so they can build me a new one.

Lots man. I bought a shift linkage from them and its shitty. First gear is like 3rd gear. Its totally off. I've known some ppl that has place racing mounts and some broke? I've experianced with there shift linkage and i will never deal with them again. I couldnt get my money back.

that blows, i hope my harness will be all right, they are the only company that said they would make me an auto b16 harness.

The cops know we meet there to race already but if they sit and watch us, they know we don't want to run, or we leave one at a time and meet up to race. Some of the cops are cool about it and when they catch us, they tell us stories of where they raced and shit like that. Some cops are total dicks and go off when they know they have no legal ground for prosection(sp). I invite the cops to come out there, cause they are pretty funny when they look at some of the cars and relize "Wow, this guy could probaly outrun my in my car". Hey, but i see where you are coming from though. Maybe i should go kick my own ass, be back:D
