Whats the most amount of pain you've ever ignored?
Because tonight I most likely broke my ankle and walked it off for about 15 minutes went home and looked at and then I relized that it looked like I broke it (as there was a golf ball sized lump coming off the side) but I most likely won't know if it's broke or not by tomorrow when I get off my ass and go to the Hospital. Note to anyone who don't play sports regularly skate shoes should not be worn during an attempt to play Basketball at night with no lights around.

Ouch! You should get that checked up ASAP - no need to wait on something like that. For myself, I got a nail all the way through my foot (shoe and all). Since I had a tetnis (sp?) shot a few months before hand, I didn't bother going to the hospital. Let me tell you - a nail going from one side to another hurts like hell.

Most pain?
Difficult to say what the absolute most would be.
I have Mountain Bike raced with 3 broken ribs (that hurts) and I also fell once in a race and dislocated my elbow but carried on to the end.
I also once ripped the tendons in my knee and played 3 full hockey games before I bothered going to see a doctor (I am still paying for that one today:rolleyes: )
Did you put some ice on your ankle to get the swelling down Amish Kid?

first time ever i was like 3 yrs old and dancin around and we had one of those couches that curves around and the corner kinda met my head when i moved, fuckin nasty when you can see you skull, ewww, but my dad i guess drove like 80 mph on gravel roads to get me to the hospital. then like when i was 5 prb i had my arms inside my coat, it was cold out so i was tryin to stay warm. i duno what the hell i was doin, but i end up trippin and my head slams down on the fuckin hitch ball of a car. geez i can't remember the pain but i didn't cry for more than a few minutes. also went to the hospital. then i fell out of a bunk bed and nailed the back of my head on the board on the bottom bed, didn't go to hospital for that. um...i've always gone to the chiropractor for broken bones, just cuz of my hate for doctors. but i've broken, all fingers on my left hand cept my middle one, and my thumb on that hand, and i've broken all my fingers and thumb on my right hand. the thumb was cuz some dumbass ripped it backwards on me, i did the works on that one, torn tendon, busted, fractured in 2 other plaeces, and it was jammed before that too. i've broken 3 of my toes, and both my ankles, it's not fun landing on you ankle at an angle. then from about 7-13 i never went to the hospital. then last year me and two other friends were here at my house, and the one brought his dirtbike over, the other friend was trying to ride it, he didn't know how before but he got the hang of it, he basically panicked and ramped over a brush pile, right by a hay bale for the horses and the front tire right into a 5 foot fence post, he bent the thing at like a 40º angle probably. he did a damn nice flip and roll and right onto his feet, he got pretty scraped up and went inside to clean off. well i didn't want my parents to know bout this little deal so i was in a huge hurry to get another fence post in the ground, well here i am pounding it (the fence post was the wrong size but i hadn't known this at the time) and all of a sudden the pounder comes off and i keep poundin, my hand went right over the fence post or sumthin. but basicaly it took all the skin off my hand in about a 2 cm wide area, down to the muscle, sick as hell and about 2 and a half inches long. fence post also took a chunk out of my wrist but luckily it missed the major vein by about 3-4 cm. i was shittin my pants then. i had been holdin my hand and aaron had been standin there he's like let me see, so i showed it to him and his face went pale, jaw dropped, and eyes just about popped out, i was like shit, i looked at it just bout fainted, and i actually did collapse at the front steps, then we go down to the ER and fuckin waited 2 hours and all the doc did was wrapped it up. they also gave me a tetnus shot but whoopee. i think about how much that had to have hurt but at the time i didnt really feel much pain. now i can handle gutting deer and cuttin meat of them and such but the sight of my hand just made me sick, the scar isn't too bad. it also took the nerve out in my thumb so i couldn't feel jack for like a month or 2, maybe tha's why it didn't hurt
that was my post out of the thread "what have you been sent to the hospital for" and basically i can handle any pain except for nut shots and emotional pain. IT helps when i love pain though cuz then it doesn't bother me, I often staple my calfs of arms for the fun of it, one day i did one really bad and i took a step and one of my friends said it squirted blood out, haha, but anyways pain rules!!!!

Not quite sure. I have a fairly high pain tolerance. Most of mine are skiing injuries. In 2000, I cracked 4 ribs after popping off a jump at ~100km/h and smacking straight into a steel bin made of 50mm steel. I then skiied the rest of the day, even though it felt like I was inhaling razor blades.
Last year I managed to twist my ankle 180 degrees while locked into a ski boot. Ripped 4 tendons off the bone and it was swollen up to the size of a large pineapple. I walked to the bus and then a total of about ~400m unassisted carrying ski gear.
Lats Friday I broke my right hand punching something. Getting XRays tomorrow. It kinda hurts now...

Never broke a bone in my body. I guess i never managed to do anything stupid enough to, or lucked out. Or have really strong bones. I just usually take skin off my body. I have a nice new scar from splitting my knuckle open from punching the wall. I was mad.
I have extra long and strechy tendons too (might explain the flat feet) because i never ripped any of those either. I probably should have. I can bend my fingers forward (like, close my hand) so that my fingers are laying flat on the palm of my hand. No problem with that. It's cool to see my finger bones at the knuckles just easily slide out of their sockets. Same thing with my wrists.
Although latley i have been having sharp back pains in one certain area of my spine. It's been going on for a few weeks lately. Only hurts if i bend back too much (which isnt much at all) or forward. Maybe I should get that checked out... an 18.93 year old guy shouldn't be having back pains, should he?

Yeah I know that
but it's more then one day because when I broke leg they had me waiting in the hospital for 3 days until they set it and put a cast back on it....
Yeah all I did was take some anti-inflamatory(sp) pills and iced it and now I can walk on it without pain so I'm thinking it's not broke nor do I want it to be broken since it's my right ankle thats all fucked up that means no driving for next little while.

Amish - if you sustain an injury like that, don't wait around as that makes the injury worse and theres a possibility, I heard, that the bone can come out of the skin, making the situation a whole lot worse.
All of these sound painful :o .
My worst pain was when I dislocated my knee, and hairline fractured my knee, and also tore a muscle as it got ripped by a sharp edge of the bone. Very painful.

Well I've been in and out of the hospital many a times in my life. The most pain I think I can remember ignoring for about a day or two was when I was in 3rd grade. I ran into the kitchen for dinner with socks and and i always would slide to the table and then take my seat. Well that day my feet came out from under me and i landed really hard on my back. I figured I had just landed bad and bruised myself. Well the next day while at school the pain grew so great that while walking to my next class I could no longer support my own body weight to stand up i was in so much pain. When i finally made it to the doctor for x-rays i found out i had fractured my back. That was not cool. One long term affect from it is i can't jump on trampolines for a long period of time b/c it really strains my back.

i still slide around on my hardwood floors :P
i havn't broken a single bone in my body, and i think i only have one perminent scar on my foot whenere i stepped on glass.
It's not that i live a boring life and never get outside, (i almost always have a cut or bruise on me) but i must just have a really good recovery system.
Its sort of the same with my contacts too. I have been wearing a pair of 4 week lenses for about 10 weeks now. My eyes just dont reject them. a bit off topic, but i felt like saying it anyways

NOT BROKEN!!!!!:D
Got back from the Hospital a few hours ago and the x-rays checked out ok just really sore and swollen still so looks like I need about 2-3 weeks recovery time according to the Doctor.
Man that made my day I didn't want to have to get driven everywhere, plus my prom is soon and I don't think plaster goes good with a Tux.:D

Sorry to hear that, Texas.
I also have a permenant scar from a knee operation I had. I was meant to have an op to alter the muscle positions in my knee to solve my knee dislocation problem (I've done it 4 times, the description I gave in my earlier post in this thread was the first time), and I have a permenant scar from it! ;) :)

Thanks Blitzen:) Besides that, i've also had 12 stitches in my head after cutting it open on a table when I was 6 sliding under tables at a wedding. I've had 6 ear operations(i.e. tubes to prevent water entering my ear drum), almost tore all ligaments in my left foot(that was painful, had to use crutches for a few days), had diberticulitus(spelling?) when i was 3 which cause gange(sp?)green to infect my small intestine having 3ft. cut out almost didn't make it out of the hospital alive, almost bit my tongue off when i was really little like 2 i think. Overall, from what I've experienced I'm very thankful to be alive today and have the greatest parents.
