Wet trunk

My 92 Accord has a wet trunk when it rains. My mechanic suggested that I may have a leak around the tail light lenses, and I did see a good bit of moisture when I pulled one of the bolts to get to a ground for the audio system. My questions are; does this sound right (as the acutal puddle that I found was next to the wheel well) and if so do I just put some silicon around the lense or is there an actual gasket for them? Thanks!

Mick

there is an actual gasket and my sugjestion is if you are going to replace one replace them all, they will leak sooner or later. also if you have an EX with a sunroof you might want to check the roof drains they clog sometimes to and they are also in the trunk.

I have that same problem on my car. Did you figure out how to fix that, my dad told me to buy new ones. But I thought that was really expensive so i screw it. Anyway tell me if you got that fixed Thanks.

i had the same problem, but only if i was driving the car while raining. it turned out it was a bad sealing between the quarter panels and the strut tower. not that is fixed and no more water inside

You said that it happened when you drive the car during the rain? Makes sense 'cept that mine does it when it sits in the driveway. I checked that seals and they look good. I don't know what else to do? Any answers? Thanks

I've got a 92 and the same problem. Well, had. Mine did it if it was sitting or if I was driving it. I just put in more seals (that rubber lining) and it hasn't done it since.....
