Can someone please tell me where the A/C low pressure switch is on
a 97 lesabre. I have been reading that it is in the suctin line to the firewall or near the accumalator...........I have been looking for hours and I can't fid it. I want to check my compressor by jumping the switch.
Please help ...........be specific.

You do not have a Low Pressure switch as the V5 Compressor is self regulating.... What you have is a Pressure Sensor inline, The PCM looks at the pressure to make sure its within range, if it is the PCM will allow operation of the system..

Is the system low or empty?

I am getting test guages today to check for pressure. Do you know what minimum pressure I should have on the system? Also, is the Inline pressure sensor your talking about , mounted on the rear of the compressor ? It has a 3 pin connector on it.
thanks for your help........

iirc yes thats the sensor used for system pressure readings..

I forget what the minimum is for the PCM to allow the compressor.. If you get the gauges use them correctly, if they are used improperly it can become very dangerous..

Instead of jumpering the non-existent switch you can jumper the compressor relay instead. This is from a '95 and '97 should be similar:

You should also check the 15A fuse (6E) in the IP fuse panel.

Geoff or Jeff, (Blue Bowtie) can you change the pixel size on that pic to 800 X 640? It's way to big @ 1024 X 930. Thanks!

It's "Jeff", and you just need a bigger monitor. :)

Thanks Jeff, that fits my old 18" monitor much better when I have my "favorites" bar open on the side! :icon16:
